  The Write Inspiration

for the week of September 7th, 2015

---

Hello fellow TheWritePlace members! How is everyone today?

We had a great list of responses last week! Great job everyone!

Here are the submissions:

Your Love is Sickness                                     Your love is a sickness - a toxic
syndrome that attacks my entire body. It
feels like a mix of anxiety and heart disease:
heartbeats so strong and rapid they shake my body, my
head spinning like a top and feeling lighter than air,
tightness in my chest, roiling waves of pain deep in the
pit of my stomach . . . You profess love so passionately, yet the
  SmileThere is no smile
Staring back at her
Only a mouth weighed down
Like melting plastic
Constantly sinking lower
The lipstick looks fake too
All the plastic in the world
Could not fix this face
Aged by cold truths
Every wrinkle another abuse
Another hardship forced
On her despite how much she has loved
Those who abused her and pushed her down
Now the image before her stands
Mocking of an innocence she never had
No longer the little girl she never was
With the lipstick in hand
She places one end on the glass
Once done she can finally see it
The smile she could never again have

Distorted Tempest (Part 1)"Please lay down. Standing will only make you feel worse."
Marie still struggled to stand, even though she had to know how much pain she was in. Why in the world would she try to fight when she's suffering so much? As panic flooded through me, I gently took her arms and tried to lay  her down on the twin-sized bed in front of her. The lavender sheets matched her favorite color, the same one on her skirt. It went well with her royal blue blouse and matching flats, the same outfit she wore on the day we met, and the day she got sick. As a result, seeing her in this attire has always been a bittersweet affair. It reminded me of the wonderful day our paths intertwined while also reminding me of the day fate began threatening to pull us apart. As I gazed into those olive eyes and admired the beauty of her silver blonde hair, I remembered telling her on the day we met just how gorgeous she was. Her beauty remained as marvelous as ever to this day, even though this inexplicable syndrome
Distorted Tempest (Part 2)"Jamie!" Marie suddenly yelled, more blood coming from her mouth. "The medicine! You need the medicine!"
I don't think I ever felt more terrified in my entire life. Was Marie really willing to try the medicine again, when it had merely worsened her condition? Then again, it wasn't like we had any other choice. I tried to reach for the medicine on the dresser when I heard Marie let out another panicked yell, worse than before.
"NO! YOU HAVE TO LAY DOWN!" She called out, starting to look deranged.
The mental breakdowns had begun. In order or not, the disease was ravaging my poor lover, and I had to do something about it. I was about to stand up so I could get the medicine when Marie suddenly leapt out of bed and fell on top of me, forcing me off my knees and onto my back. I found myself looking right into her wide, panic-stricken eyes. And then the flash happened again. Once again, blood was splashing, yet it wasn't coming from Marie. Those couldn't be my lips...
I shake my head to clear
I'll Never Trust My Eyes        An outburst of life,
All emissions and dust and
                 Light, seducing me.

Lovely masks to hide death's scythe.
You are a beautiful lie.

Down on One KneeDown on One Knee
3-9-15
Down on one knee I rest, my heart in hands
Once superior to all, they now shake
Through years of abuse and misuse by man.
My heart is left to those who’ll use and make
Something from it, both wonderful and great.
I give my heart to you my trusted friend,
You’ve been there through the thick and thin and ache
That rests in chests when friendship has an end.
When you were down mine was the hand to mend,
And soon you returned to the world of light;
I trust you now, my healings at its end
And I must flee to fight the beast this night.
Down on one knee, my heart to you I bring,
That you may stitch it up and give it wings.
  The Anariarchs PathogenThe Anariarchs Pathogen
It shall now be heard, from voice so deep, it is profound. I have cooked the Purge, now mighty, yet small. It will be named, only in whispers, known to Tree, Beetle, and Bird; Snakes shall carry it, with their swords.
My reason simple, truly I do say. The world has changed, and so must I. Where before I would have spoken, to each new life upon this earth. Now as babes they are deaf; blind to all that clearly moves, within. Unknown their might, power un-fathomed, and not avail. Simple creatures, they know not, the Plague I unleashed, upon their brows; surely they will wake, and see clear ‘verse. Within them all, rent from clay, mud so plain, lies a secret, terrible and tame. It is this, I shall unlock, and toward the heavens, I shall mock. For I shall release them from their doom, only to find them stale and truly frail.
The Alchemy is simple, yet complex; a paradox, a musing, err it born from simple song; a pen doth writ on parchment clear, as the bell tol
